Fire Records releases the digital download version of "Fever," a six-track EP by Dave Cloud & The Gospel of Power. The CD version is scheduled for release on 21 July.

Norwegian folk group Storm Weather Shanty Choir releases Way Hey (And Away We'll Go). The album includes "Drunken Sailor" featuring vocals by Dave Cloud. The song had originally appeared as the "B-side" to the group's "Drunken Sailor" single CD in 2008.

Norwegian folk group Storm Weather Shanty Choir releases its new single "Drunken Sailor" in two versions, one of which features Dave Cloud. Cloud recorded his vocal in Bergen while touring Europe with The Gospel of Power.

U.S. premiere of the documentary film A Difficult Days Afternoon, a chronicle of Dave Cloud & The Gospel of Power's 2006 European tour. Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, Tennessee. 7 pm.

25 Apr–8 May 2008  

Dave Cloud & The Gospel of Power embark on their second tour of Norway and the UK. Also, the film A Difficult Days Afternoon, a documentary about the band's 2006 European tour, has its world premiere at Bergenfest on 3 May.

Anheuser-Busch launches its "True Dedication" ad campaign for Budweiser beer, featuring Dave Cloud as a mentor for an unnamed band of Nashville musicians. Created by ad agency Fallon for the UK market, the campaign includes several TV spots filmed in Nashville and directed by Harmony Korine, as well as print ads and outdoor billboards. U.K. release of Pleasure before Business, the fourth album by Dave Cloud & The Gospel of Power. The album will be released in the U.S. on 24 June.

After his own performance at Springwater in Nashville, Steve MacKay (saxophonist for the legendary band The Stooges) joined Dave Cloud & The Gospel of Power for two songs during their late-night, garage-rock set. MacKay meshed quickly with the band; after the first tune he commented to Cloud, "It's like playing with The Stooges—I instinctively know when to play and when not to play."

Dave Cloud's voice is featured in the multi-media art installation Ear Cinema at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London.

Nina Persson, lead singer of The Cardigans, visits Thee Swan Recording Company in Nashville to record her vocal for "Land of a Thousand Dances" (to be released on Dave Cloud's next album Pleasure Before Business).

Mar 2007   MOJO Magazine releases a 40th anniversary tribute to the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper. The CD includes Dave Cloud & The Gospel of Power's version of "Lovely Rita."
